About This BlogI post a couple of photos when I go to shoot shows here, and then again, sometimes I don't. Sometimes, Mr. or Miss Artist chooses to step on the stage late, inebriated, surrounded by half of Scotland's yearly production of fog, and lit from the back. In blue. There is no amount of awesomeness (and I have metric shittonnes of it when it comes to taking photos of concerts) that can make something like that look good on a photo. In situations like these, I don't even bother to lift my camera. So, even though you may have seen me in the pit at some show doesn't mean it's gonna show up here. No need to flood the net with more bad photos, really.
I mean hell yeah, I’m all for history repeating itself. History went even further repeating itself, in that the photo restrictions were so ridiculous that essentially none of us that had travelled to Basel to shoot Axl got a decent shot at it: The photographers were divided in 2 groups. Group 1 got to shoot 1.5 songs, and group 2 got to shoot the other 1.5 songs. From the soundboard. Yes, you had to beat your way through a nearly sold-out crowd to and from the board in the middle of the effing song. So, eff you, here’s another picture of the Quireboys. From the pit. Full 3 songs.
